Dr. Oliveira expertise ranges from flight dynamics of spacecraft, inertial sensors, navigation and control, and dynamic modeling of flexible vehicles, to submarine and aerospace engineering, with a focus on satellites and launch vehicles, launch vehicle trajectory optimization, post-flight analysis, inertial navigation, antennas, electromagnetism, sonar, underwater acoustics, signal processing, radio navigation, and control

Currently, Dr Oliveira is a Member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA)
Committee on Materials and Structures for Space of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF)
Founding Member and President of the SPACLA – Space & Cyber Latin America Association
